Mexican Porphyry is quarried in many locations and can vary considerably in color and integrity.  Like China, Mexican porphyry is often chosen for an economical option when compared to Italian first grade porphyry.  Mexican porphyry in the top grade selection is a deep red and amethyst color which has a subtle range of color.  LSI has partnered with Italian operated quarries in Mexico whom have a tradition of providing top quality and colors to the international market.  Size can be limited in cut-to-size and “crazy” paving due to the smaller scale of available materials which come naturally from fractured bedding in these Mexican quarries.
